After volunteering for over a year at Cottonwood Place, Cherilyn fell in love with the people – staff and residents – and its unrivaled culture of excellence and quality service. She knew this was a special field where she wanted to focus her time, energy and experience.
She has over 30 years’ marketing and government relations experience, recently representing the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons in Utah. In 2011 the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News editorial boards named Cherilyn Wasatch Woman of the Year-Community Service, recognized as the first Utah woman to run for U.S. Senate in her party, as well as for community and charitable service. A nationally syndicated talk show host and motivational speaker, she has been a regular commentator on ABC TV Channel 4 (SLC), interviewed by local and national media, featured in Sean Hannity’s book Let Freedom Ring.
Raised in Hollywood, California, Cherilyn graduated from Brigham Young University in theatre, public speaking emphasis. She has performed professionally in leading and supportive roles Off-Off Broadway, nationally, regionally and produced the industry’s top rated On Broadway Musical Theatre Workshops (NYC). She received highest ratings as music faculty at Orange County School of the Arts and at BYU. Favorite role: Julie, 1975 Utah production Saturday’s Warrior.
Married to REALTOR® Randy Eagar, they live in Holladay, are active in their church and together have 7 grown children and 17 grandchildren.
